Alpaca Race offers optional Trail Cred for all participants. Trail Cred have calculated the climate footprint of the whole event, including participants travel, and the team behind the race have decided to start a fundraiser to balance the carbon equivalent into protection in old growth forest.

Your gift to Naturarvet has contributed to preserving 319 m2 of old-growth forest in the Klingervattskogen by the shore of lake Klingervattnet in Jämtland.

In the spring of 2026 Runners contributed with donations of 1111 kr to balance the carbon footprint of their travel to and from the race of 2582 kg C02e and the carbon footprint of 1424 kg Co2e for the race. 10% of the donations goes to administration and transfer fees, leaving 999 kr that we donated to Naturarvet to protect 319 m2 of old growth forest in Klingervattskogen on the shore of Lake Klingervattnet in Jämtland, Sweden. The protected area is located on the coordinates 63.75508, 14.17863
